Aha, there we go! Account successfully renamed and it tells me all my lists are automatically updated which is nice - thank you Dreamwidth :)
My neck/shoulder muscle issue is gone now but yesterday my neck did some weird nerve-compressing thingy which caused quite severe ulna nerve pain all down my arms and into my hands. NOT HAPPY!! Luckily my physiotherapist was free exactly when I phoned and I live just five doors down so she was able to see me and that helped a lot. Unfortunately she wants me to not do anything that requires looking down or strain on my neck ... so much for crochet, reading, beading, etc.
Hopefully after a few days it'll be OK to do these things, but i'm very frustrated in the mean time. Somehow even after all the stuff that's happened to me I still feel at a basic level that if I do all the "right things" (do my physio exercises, etc.) then my body should behave as predicted. You'd think I'd learn, wouldn't you?! I'm way too optimistic ...
On the other hand, it is spring here and the weather this week has made it really feel like spring and somehow spring encourages optimism in new beginnings and healthy growth and all that.
Aaaaaaaand on the gripping hand spring means pollen so my mast cell allergy-type-symptoms are in mega overdrive.
Swings and roundabouts, folks....
