WOE IS ME!

So in my grumpy snot-ridden can't-concentrate state I look through the 51 recorded TV shows and try to find something I want to watch.

I find one single documentary that looks appealing. Don't ask me what's wrong with the other 50, it's grump-logic. It makes sense to me.

I start the recording, it looks interesting although I missed the start of the show. That's pretty common though, and documentaries don't have much story ...


... except no, I didn't miss the first minute or so. I seem to have only recorded the LAST 3 minutes of it.

i've had that happen, back in the Dark Ages when i tried to record things on a VCR. i swear sometimes the timer changed its own settings on purpose. speak sternly to your recording device - i recommend swearing at it in Klingon :-)

My recording device is my computer and if I swear at it then it gets grumpy in other ways!!

And sorry you have one broken documentary. Man, I have been in that place and want to cry when I'm there, even though it seems like such a little thing on the whole.

I hope you find some suitable alternative that brings you comfort whilst you snot along. ((hugs)) from the other side of the big pond

Actually it turned out that the unintentionally-recorded other thing on the end of it was to my liking :) I seem to be on the mend now - I'm less snotty today at least!

the worst part is when you're dizzy and trying to read a text file and you sneeze and suddenly the monitor is covered in little dots and you think you're reading some obscure Finno-Ugrik saga because of all the umlauts and accents and cedillas and such.
