It's Cold!
Jun. 9th, 2010 11:49 pmIt's cold in Melbourne this week.
How cold?
I was sitting up in the recliner this evening, doing paperwork, and my cat was curled up on my knees under the blanket that was keeping me warm. I had to get up to do my exercises so I gathered him up and the blanket and carefully set them down on my bed thus:

He resettled himself a little bit and I went off to do my physiotherapy. An hour later, exercises done and cooling off I came back to reclaim my bed ... cat was still there and curled up so tiny that he barely showed at all amidst the blanket:

Being a rude and inconsiderate human, I unfolded the blankets briefly to show you how curled up he was:

Then I put the blankets back and moved him to the foot of the bed so I could lie down again. That was approximately 10pm - it's ten to midnight now and the ball of blankets has been moved again from the foot of the bed to my chest and he's STILL curled up in those blankets.
It's really cold here tonight!
Thank heavens for my cat body-warmer :)
Also, thank heavens for microwavable slippers which are also wheat bags. And a wonderful flat-mate who microwaves them whenever I ask!
Stay warm, friends.

Date: 2010-06-09 02:04 pm (UTC)I may point out that technically he'd fit, but the manual doesn't say it's microwavable.

Date: 2010-06-10 05:58 am (UTC)when the night is cold - the next day is usually glorious, sun but not warm always a chill in the air.
although, I haven't got to my 3rd layer yet under my jacket so it's not so bad as long as you stay outta the shade! i.e. between 2 city buildings that have not let the sun into the sidewalk yet :-)
enjoy the cat though, they are lovely in cold weather with their small furry and usually purring heaters
