Strange Women...
May. 15th, 2010 11:43 pmThis is a photograph I just took of
afuna. It baffles me:

[Visual Description: Afuna sitting cross legged on my lino floor, elbows resting on her knees, holding her netbook computer up at eye level so she can read it more easily.]
For reference, she's about a foot away from a padded leather recliner chair, and about 3 feet away from a nice comfy sofa.
The floor is lino laid directly onto concrete with no padding or insulation. It is hard and unforgiving and very cold (the top temperature here today was 17C/63F with a low of 7C/45F). I get bruises just from kneeling on it!
In my head I understand her "I need to move around a lot" explanation - in the time it's taken me to take the photo and type this she's shifted and now she's stretched out on the floor with the netbook on the chair again, and no doubt she'll be sitting on the top of my bookcase in another 5 minutes... OK, perhaps not on the bookcase exactly... I'm the type of person who finds the comfiest spot and then doesn't move. And trust me, the floor is NOT one of the comfy spots. It makes my brain hurt to watch her!
Vive La Différence!
Cheers,
Ricky
