Good things
Sep. 9th, 2012 07:49 pm+ Thank you for all the candle-buying suggestions in response to my last post! I will get right onto that...
+ My shoulder is slowly improving. I'm doing all my speshul shoulder exercises and hot-pack treatments and it's still quite sore but it's letting me do more as time goes on and the pain is much less severe. Fingers tentatively crossed...
+ It's Tammy's one year anniversary today! She came to be fostered here on the 9th of September 2011 and the change in her over that time has been stunning. She's curled up between my ankles as I type this, under the blankets which makes her think she's invisible (even when her tail's poking out). She comes up and plonks herself on my chest and orders me to cuddle her multiple times every day and she really stretches out and rolls over and snuggles and enjoys the cuddles now! She's also beginning to let other familiar people touch her at times, if she's relaxed and feeling safe, and comes and plays in the centre of the floor even when quiet strangers are around. I'm so proud of her!! For those who are interested, there are a ton of kitten photos on my Flickr.
+ I made a lovely crystal sun catcher to hang in my window. Fun to make - I'm doing more of these!!
+ My flatmate helpfully down about 5 others so there are just three left - the one I made today, one that my Mum and an aunty made together, and the one that
rahaeli made for me with the "Dreamwidth" beads hanging on the end. The window space looks nicer now it's not so cluttered, and she rearranged the 3 remaining to my satisfaction.
+ I have a new carer who's a musician! He's not always available which is frustrating but he looks like he'll be another decent person to have in my "in case of emergency" list at the very least.
